Day 20.

Elohim Ozer Li, My helper.

Anything in life can be discouraging when you feel you have no help. As of late I've been planning my wedding all by myself. It has been a journey already and I've just gotten started. I enjoy planning my wedding because I know everything will be just how I'd like it. Sometimes, I just want to say forget it all and I stop planning for weeks. I tell everyone I talk to when the wedding seems to be the topic of discussion... It's easy to say what you want before you're even engaged and attempt to plan everything out in your head; but when reality sets in and you're finally a soon to be bride, it can all get really stressful really fast.

The entire first month of me being engaged to the love of my life, I cried. I couldn't soak in the moment and basque in the thought of marrying my best friend. It seemed like the same day we were engaged I was supposed to know everything. When we're getting married, where, what type of dress I'm going to wear, what type of food were we going to have at the wedding, were we going to have a big wedding or a small wedding. The questions came in like a tidal wave. I became overwhelmed and when I finally made it home, I cried. For hours.

It's been 6 months since I said "yes" and I'm finally able to soak in the fact that I'll be marrying my best friend in 15 months. I can now experience the excitement I thought I would feel the day we got engaged.

In life we gain responsibilities and accept tasks that we aren't always prepared for. Sometimes it may seem like the world is on your shoulders and you have no help. I prayed to God so many days just concerning my wedding (I've been praying for my marriage since it started popping up in our conversations). I prayed that God would help me out of the funk I began to settle into. I prayed that He would raise up people to use their gifts and talents to help me and my fiancé fulfill our vision for our wedding. When I tell you that prayer works and God will not ever discount your service to His people! God has raised up numerous people (who aren't all that close to my fiancé and myself), to help our vision come to life. I truly believe he's raising up people to bless me and my fiancé because of my faithfulness to the Kingdom of God and my service to His people.

Today I encourage you to go beyond yourself and help someone who needs your light. I encourage you to obey when the spirit tells you to move, even when you feel like it's something you don't want to do or have the time to do. Make time and obey God!

There was never a prayer request or an encouraging word I did not allow the Holy Spirit to use me to answer. I learned that time is sensitive for hurting people. I was once that hurting person. I was once that person who wanted to give up. God allowed me to go through everything I needed to go through so He can perfect my heart towards His people. I am truly grateful to God for always helping me. He always raises up somebody, somewhere to use their power, their ability, and their influence to help me. God has been and will always be my helper! I can't always depend on man, but I can depend on THE MAN ABOVE!

“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:14-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Elohim Ozer Li, My helper.

“Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭54:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Love,

ChelCy
