Day 12.

El Hakabodh, The God of Glory.

There are so many times I've messed up and fell short of the Glory of God. There are also things I've done that made me feel as though I wasn't worth Gods Glory. One thing I've learned from reading the scriptures is I'm always "worth it". Jesus' ultimate sacrifice of love proves that I'm worth it! God is a forgiving God. I know that when I've done wrong Gods word will help me understand what it is I need to do to Right my wrongs or correct my situation. I am truly grateful that God has never given up on me. He has never rejected me and He always saw fit to wipe my sleight clean.

Have you ever been in the presence of people who've only known you prior to you being apart of the body of Christ? It's like some of them will try to hold onto every single flaw, failure, and sin you've committed in your past just to convince themselves that they know you better than anyone else. Now compare that to the people who's known you before you were delivered and witnessed your growth after you've been washed clean. They can hardly remember any "bad" you've ever done. Lastly, compare both of those relationships to that of the persons who've only known you since you've been apart of the body of Christ. They see no fault in you, just the good. They see the love of God shining through you. They see Gods Glory.

I say all that to say this, a persons thoughts towards you and what they choose to believe about you is based on their perspective of you. Some will swear they "know" you and won't even know your interests, what you like to do in your spare time, or even pay attention to the way you choose to let life and the things that happen in your life effect you. Today I encourage anyone out there battling with trying to understand why people have certain perspectives of you to comprehend that their perspectives are invalid when it comes to how you view, love, and feel about yourself. Some people choose to think negatively about you because they are too scared to believe that God has the power to change a person who was not so loving, nice, and caring, into someone people outside of them choose to love! Scripture says:

“Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come! But all things are from God, Who through Jesus Christ reconciled us to Himself [received us into favor, brought us into harmony with Himself] and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation [that by word and deed we might aim to bring others into harmony with Him]. It was God [personally present] in Christ, reconciling and restoring the world to favor with Himself, not counting up and holding against [men] their trespasses [but cancelling them], and committing to us the message of reconciliation (of the restoration to favor).”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:17-19‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Only the God of Glory has the power to change you. He has the power to alter your thinking and give you a new clean life. I am truly grateful I found myself in Christ; because if I hadn't I would be forced to believe every negative thing everyone had to say about me.

There are two types of people in this world good and bad. A person can choose to be negative or positive. We can choose to use our words for construction or for criticism. Peoples influence has the power of helping or hindering a person from their growth.

I encourage you to choose to believe you are who God says you are. Pay attention to the source of your critic. Is this person a reliable source, can they be trusted? Are they speaking out of love? Are they telling you this to hurt you or to help you?

“But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We as individuals and believers of Christ have the authority to cast out the enemy and turn away from wrath! Gods Glory shines upon our path and it doesn't matter how worthy we may feel, He knows we're worth it.

El Hakabodh, The God of Glory.

“The voice of the Lord is upon the waters; the God of glory thunders; the Lord is upon many (great) waters.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭29:3‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Love,

ChelCy
