Day 6.
Elohim Bashamayim, God of Heaven.
I'm thankful today and every day that God is the man who sits high and looks low. That fact alone makes me want to do better. It makes me want to continuously do whatever it takes to become the best person I can be. Being cautious that God is always with me I'm putting more focus on the way I'm thinking, the things I do, and how my life impacts others around me.
I know that when I die I want to make it into Heaven. Life seems to be so short for so many people. Even though I'm not afraid of drying, I do want to live the fullest life I can live on this earth.
When I think of the Lord being the God of Heaven, I think of a peaceful person. He has no drama in His life. That's the lifestyle I want to lead. Separating myself from people and things that stir up discourse and provoke the old me to arise is something that has to happen. I learned that the way people think of you is the determining factor of why they treat you the way they do and why they feel they can do certain things with you. Some people truly don't know how to let go of the past. I have to surround myself with people who are able to adapt to change.
I am constantly changing and evolving into the person I desire to be. I can't be who I'm supposed to be and who I used to be at the same time. Eventually I'll have to "shed some skin". Today I'm reminded that I need to always be mindful of my actions and to keep my thoughts, my heart, and my mouth guarded from things that aren't pleasing in the sight of The Father.
I encourage everyone to live a life that is so respectful you feel like every waking minute you're in the presence of your parents. I make sure when I'm in front of my parent I'm respectful, I'm dressed the right way, I'm guarding my tongue, and making sure the things that are flowing from my heart are an outward expression of my love. God is with us every day, every hour. It's easy to forget that he's always watching, but I encourage you to just take it day by day. Be yourself and love who you're becoming.
Elohim Bashamayim, the God of Heaven.
“And as soon as we had heard these things, our hearts did melt, neither did there remain any more courage in any man, because of you: for the Lord your God, he is God in heaven above, and in earth beneath.”
Joshua 2:11 KJV
