Who Do You Serve?

Truth is Christians are still people. We eat, breathe, live, walk, work, and play just like you. We just choose to live our lives a little differently. I think it's sad that people who are popular in the Christian community get bashed for being who they are. Daily, when you choose to live the "God life" you are immediately placed on a pedestal without your knowledge. The scope is turned onto your life and people begin to view your actions and reactions with a magnifying glass. People are convinced that your life is no longer yours to live; but their representation of perfection lived out through you. You are no longer a role model but "THE MODEL" for their lives. Unfortunately for those people who think it's okay to bash a person for living their life to the best of their abilities -making mistakes, having moments, and just being human -not in a way that you may approve of; but just for being the imperfect human being they are... I urge you to GET A LIFE! Truth is those peoples problem isn't they way you're living. Their problem is instead of worshipping the MOST HIGH, GOD. They worship everything you do. Unbeknownst to them they've adorned you as their God. That's why any wrong you do is magnified and and blown out of proportion. Scripture States: "I am the Lord your God, Who has brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before or besides Me. You shall not make yourself any graven image [to worship it] or any likeness of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; You shall not bow down yourself to them or serve them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate Me, [Isa. 42:8; 48:11.] But showing mercy and steadfast love to a thousand generations of those who love Me and keep My commandments. (Exodus 20:2-6 AMP) " It also states: “Don’t pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults— unless, of course, you want the same treatment. That critical spirit has a way of boomeranging. It’s easy to see a smudge on your neighbor’s face and be oblivious to the ugly sneer on your own. Do you have the nerve to say, ‘Let me wash your face for you,’ when your own face is distorted by contempt? It’s this whole traveling road-show mentality all over again, playing a holier-than-thou part instead of just living your part. Wipe that ugly sneer off your own face, and you might be fit to offer a washcloth to your neighbor. (Matthew 7:1-5 MSG) " You see it's not our fault we've been called into ministry and we have to live according to Gods will and not our own. We live, we triumph in certain areas, and we fail tests both publicly and intimately just like you. The only difference between a true Christian who loves and worships God and you, is we love God publicly! We openly confess the power of his love, his grace, and his mercies like we are suppose to do. Our lives are living testimonies. I thank God I don't live to please people; but to please Him! If you're one of those people, It's time you realize the life we live isn't for you to approve of. Our lives are only daily reminders of Gods grace. The battles we face publicly should be viewed as a representation of the sacrifices and struggles we deal with daily. You don't have to like it, just choose to be respectful. Instead of running your mouth to tear people apart, open it up to pray. Intercede on their behalf. Continually plead the blood of Jesus over our lives. That's how you show you care. Your opinions will never outweigh what God thinks of us. Therefore if you have nothing nice or encouraging to say, close your mouth and keep your nasty words to yourself! If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain. (James 1:26 KJV) For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. (Galatians 1:10-12 KJV) I know who I serve and it's not you! Love, ChelCy
