Today I decided to be completely random and paint my wall. I've been wanting to paint my bedroom over for a few months now. I was debating between a lavender color or a matte plum. I even thought of doing a glitter wall. Today I chose none of the above lol. I actually went with something that I could have fun with. My creativity supersedes all logic when it comes to me being "in the box" or apart of the norm. I just like different things. I bet you're still wondering what color I chose, hahaha! You're just going to have to wait. Anyway, so I've been wanting to do a vision board, right? RIGHT! I just didn't want to have this tacky looking board stuck in the middle of my wall. I mean, I would look at the vision board and think of ways to make it look cute. I wouldn't even pay attention to the goals on it. Smh. That's just the way my mind thinks. So I did a little research and I decided to go with a chalkboard wall. YES! You read it correctly. A CHALKBOARD WALL :-)

I went with the more modern chalkboard color -the matte black (which I absolutely love matte black anything!!!). So now I can just write my goals out on my wall for me to see everyday and I can erase them as I accomplish each goal. How awesome is that! I'm always writing so now I can doodle those little colloquialisms that just randomly pop into my noggin while I'm in deep thought or just staring out my window. I've decided to call it my wall of pure awesomeness. I'll write my favorite scriptures, encouraging messages to carry me through each day, grocery lists, my agenda...I mean the list goes on and on. This DIY Project was really inexpensive. I used the Disney brand black chalkboard paint in great slate the container is said to cover a 7x7 foot wall 2coats. I'm not sure of the measurements of my wall but It was enough for two coats and I still have a little left over. Once you apply the first coat you have to let it sit for 4hrs, then once you apply the second coat you let it dry for a few more hours. The catch is you have to allow the wall to sit for 7days before you can use it. Luckily for me I'll be out of town next week so I won't be tempted to try it prematurely. I'll leave you with this ...never lose sight of where you're going. Right now the roads may be blocked and you may have to take a few detours. Just enjoy the ride and trust the process. If you fail the first time, try again, and again until you've succeeded. Remember, winners never quit! The enemy tries to steal your joy by removing your sense of hope, don't let him win. Do whatever it takes to keep your vision alive and in plain sight. You may not be where you want to be right now; but at least you know where you're going! Stay encouraged!

Love, ChelCy
