"Blessed are the flexible, for they will not be bent out of shape." -unknown

At my church when we're asked "how are we doing" we are to say "better than ever" -to proclaim that over any circumstance I am better than ever, in every area of my life I am better than ever! No one has ever become the best by being comfortable and staying where they are. In order to be the best you must want the best and in order to want the best one must do better. Enjoying comfort and being lax is cool; but in order to stay on the top of your game it requires discipline and for you to stretch. Sometimes to stretch you have to stretch your imagination, your finances, and your physical abilities, depending on the particular area you're striving to be better in.

Scripture says that the race was neither given to the swift or strong." I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all."Ecclesiastes 9:11 KJV

- Meaning we all will face battles and struggle in certain areas, however, God knows our imperfections and even though we are imperfect people, He trusts us and has anointed us to carry out His plan in spite of what it is we fall short of.

As children of god we are equipped with all sufficiency" And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation]." 2 Corinthians 2:8

- Meaning we have everything we need on the inside of us in order to fulfill our purpose and become our best selves in Christ and in life. It may take time for you to notice and embrace your gifts, but they're already on the inside of you; if they weren't, God wouldn't have placed you in the positions you're in today.

When you have a particular craft that you specialize in you take your time to perfect it. You may go to school to acquire more knowledge and you may work long, hard hours in order to develop the skill set you want to attain. Just as you work hard to be the best at your craft, the same effort should be applied to every area of your life.

Its easy to for me to say what I want to do, but often times it's a struggle or a test to carry out what it is that I'm saying I want, and that's okay.

God wants us to reach our maximum potential. God knows his plans for us. He has equipped us from the beginning of creation with everything we need in order to be who He designed us to be.

However, because the devil knows that god has his grace on us, he will begin to come in and try to consume our minds. He'll create distractions, and when things get tough the devil will convince you of offenses, and have you feeling as though you are under personal attack.

Remember whenever you realize the devils presence -immediately pray! Pray for the person you feel has offended you and pray for yourself because the devil may be tormenting your mind and filling it with negative connotations to make you feel as though that person offended you. When you notice you are under attack, You are closer to your breakthrough than you realize, and satan knows it, so he'll throw everything in his arsenal at you in order to lead you astray.

People who genuinely love you will do everything in their power to help encourage, heal, and build you up. If they're not then its time to check their intentions and get down to the heart of the matter. So when the enemy comes and attacks you know that you are NEVER alone.

My message to you is don't be afraid to stretch or even bend a little further than the norm, it's ok... You weren't built to break!

Love,

ChelCy
